Madonna di Campiglio in Winter
If you choose Madonna di Campiglio for your snow holiday in Trentino, know that there is plenty to do for non-skiers too!
Hotel Alpina is located in the center of Madonna di Campiglio, very close to some of the most important slopes in our resort, such as the legendary Pista 3tre, which you can easily reach on foot. Many of our guests choose us precisely for this reason. If this is also your case, we recommend reading the posts “A Madonna di Campiglio sugli sci: piste, funivie e skipass” and “Tutte le novità sulle piste“. You will find plenty of useful information to organize your ski week and the link to the offer.
Snowboarding at the Ursus Snowpark on Grostè
We would like to point out that Madonna di Campiglio is not just about skiing, but boasts one of the largest snow parks in the Alps: the Ursus Snow Park on the summit of Grostè is completely dedicated to the numerous snowboarders. A wealth of tracks awaits you where you can test your skills in complete safety with spectacular tricks and unrestrained fun on your snowboard.
Cross-country skiing in Madonna di Campiglio and surroundings
For lovers of cross-country skiing, Campo Carlo Magno features 22 km of slopes perfectly prepared by cross-country skiing technicians and the Scuola Sci Malghette: four different routes immersed in the pristine nature of our Dolomites.
Fun and ski schools for children
Children deserve a special mention; ski schools dedicate specific courses to them to introduce them to different sports and let them learn alpine skiing or snowboarding in complete safety (see the article dedicated to children on skis). There are dedicated baby slopes and many services to keep them entertained. For example, “La baita del bimbo”, very close to Hotel Alpina, is managed by a ski school, where children play and learn while parents ski peacefully.
Ski mountaineering: only for true athletes!
Let's not forget ski mountaineering, which can be practiced, respecting the rules set for the use of ski slopes, in many areas of the mountains surrounding our resort. If it is your first time, try contacting a school or rely on mountain guides.
The beauty of snowshoeing in the snow
Going through the woods around Madonna di Campiglio is a beautiful way to discover nature, accompanied by the Mountain Guides of Madonna di Campiglio, with “ciaspole”, otherwise known as snowshoes.
The silence of the woods, the crunch of the snow, the splendor of the pristine white all around… as our guests, you can enjoy all of this too, thanks to the two free weekly snowshoe excursions.
Ice skating
From December until the end of February, it is possible to ice skate on the splendid small lake of Madonna di Campiglio, which in the past hosted epic challenges between Ferrari and Ducati drivers.
What to do in the evening in Madonna di Campiglio? Après-ski and shopping
And after an intense day of skiing, refreshed by the snack at the hotel, you can relax thanks to our wellness services or choose one of the many venues for après-ski to the sound of music. Among our favorites: Bar Dolomiti, Home Stube, Cantina del Suisse, or the modern Ober One.
Madonna di Campiglio is one of the few winter resorts where you can find shops with the top brands in both sportswear and fashion, jewelry, and much more for shopping.
Between a platter and a grappa…
Do not forget to take home some food and wine specialties of Trentino: speck, cured meats, and cheeses from local producers, Qualità Parco honey, Trentino grappa, wines, and much more. Ask us for information at the reception to get to know our trusted suppliers.
Madonna di Campiglio by night
After dinner, more venues await you with live music, entertainment shows, and cabaret at “Piano 54”, and for the night owls, a night at the Des Alpes discotheque.
All that is left is to wait for you with open arms for your snow holiday in Madonna di Campiglio!
See you soon
