Madonna di Campiglio in summer. What to do?
Why choose Madonna di Campiglio in summer?
For its cool temperature? For mountain hiking or mountain biking? Or to spend a few days with your family immersed in nature? All of this is possible!
What to do in Madonna di Campiglio in summer
We are in the Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta, where the air is crisp, the food is genuine, and leisure opportunities range from high-mountain trekking to alpine refuges and the via ferrata, from which you can enjoy immense panoramas of the Dolomites.
Are you looking for something more peaceful? You can go through the woods in search of fragrant mushrooms or take the children for a walk to visit the waterfalls of Val Genova, for example.
And if it rains? Around Madonna di Campiglio, tastings in alpine huts, thermal baths, and the rural villages of Val Rendena, Castel Stenico, the cinema, or simply a walk through the historic center of the town, rich in history, await you (discover Madonna di Campiglio and its origins). Or nearby Trento, with plenty of choices for shopping, the Muse museum, and the Castello del Buonconsiglio.
Nature lovers, on the other hand, can explore the geological history of the Natural Park and learn about the fish fauna in the Acqualife and Geopark Park Visitor Centers: two stimulating and instructive multimedia journeys, even for adults.

Nature excursions, between waterfalls and enchanted lakes
We, the Aldrighetti Family, are great lovers of walks, so let's start with excursions in close contact with nature. These are simple paths in the Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta, suitable for all hikers, which your children will really enjoy.
The tour of the Cascate di Vallesinella:
one of the itineraries we advise you not to miss if you are in Madonna di Campiglio in summer. You will walk along a path completely surrounded by water springs gushing from the rocks.
Lago Nambino:
It is the easiest lake to reach starting from Madonna di Campiglio, either on foot, by shuttle, or by car. It is the last stop of the 5 lakes excursion.
Val di Genova:
a valley very well known for the Cascata del Nardis, which is worth visiting if you love nature. One of the symbols of the Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta.
Lago dei Caprioli:
it is located in the nearby Val di Sole, reachable on foot from Pellizzano or by car, ideal for a family day trip. If you are lucky, you can see the roe deer drinking at sunset.
Masi di Claemp:
an easy and very scenic excursion, thanks to the magnificent setting of the Dolomites where the blooming of the fields you will cross takes place.
Lago delle Malghette:
a simple hike, which includes a section by cable car followed by a constant and gentle downhill path, arriving at the famous little lake and the refuge.
Giro delle Malghe:
it is a simple excursion in Madonna di Campiglio that will take you from Malga Vaglianella to Malga Mondifrà, in typical mountain scenery to meet cows and flowery meadows.
Panorama Tour:
a truly unique loop route. It adapts to the needs of athletes and families, alternating simple walks on foot, but also by bike, supported by shuttles and ski lifts.

The Dolomiti di Brenta: high-mountain trekking
Now let's move on to some more challenging trekking that will take you to know some of the most beautiful panoramas of the Dolomiti di Brenta and Trentino. On these itineraries, you climb up from the altitude of Madonna di Campiglio (1550 meters) to the 2,487 meters of the Rifugio 12 Apostoli. When you plan to go to such high peaks, we advise you to always check the weather (even in summer) and to equip yourselves for very cold temperatures. In the hotel, we will be happy to give you all the information to best face your mountain excursion.
Those who want to touch the sky with a finger will madly love these itineraries among the refuges of Trentino:
5 lakes tour:
it is one of the classic excursions of Madonna di Campiglio, long and with a fair amount of elevation gain, to discover the small lakes around the town with a section by cable car.
Giro dei Rifugi del Brenta:
this is a route of medium difficulty through wonderful paths that will lead you to discover as many as 5 refuges at once.
Sentiero Osvaldo Orsi:
the path starts from the Tuckett refuge and ends at the Pedrotti/Tosa refuge. You will see the “Campanile Basso”, one of the most famous peaks in all the Dolomites.
Rifugio 12 Apostoli:
a demanding itinerary, to reach the top you will have to push yourself but you will be rewarded by a wonderful panorama.
Rifugio Mandrone-Città di Trento:
a beautiful path, tiring but not difficult, which will make you discover all the beauty of Val di Genova and the glacial lakes.
Vie Ferrate del Brenta:
The Brenta Group, with its steep rock faces, dizzying peaks, and breathtaking views, offers enthusiasts a great variety of paths and climbing routes (vie ferrate). All to be discovered!
