Trentino Ski Sunrise in Madonna di Campiglio. On skis at dawn!
To be the first to carve the snowy mantle and catch the golden rays of dawn illuminating the slope: this is the emotion that Trentino Ski Sunrise offers, the event that networks the ski lifts of Trentino to give skiers the privilege of the first, crisp descent.
Naturally, Madonna di Campiglio also plans several appointments during the winter season, and we at Hotel Alpina certainly couldn't miss them. Here is the story of Fausto, who tried this experience for you last year:
Early wake-up call and skis on your feet!
“Who knows why I let myself be convinced… that's what I'm thinking as I head on foot at 6:00 AM to the Spinale gondola to participate in 'Ski Sunrise', an event organized for years by Trentino Marketing in collaboration with the Tourism Boards of the various areas of Trentino.
Suddenly, I realize that I am participating in a unique and very special event when, from the various streets leading to the gondola, I see more and more skiers arriving and, to my enormous amazement, I discover that we are about 100 people! Wow!
One hundred people waiting for the opening of the Spinale gondola in the morning darkness that hasn't cleared yet. Excited as children, we head up to the summit, and there we find the ski instructors waiting for us, who will guide us in this dawn ski session.
Unfortunately, today we won't see the sun rise because there is a light mist, but we are all so impatient that we don't worry too much. We are divided into two groups: less and more advanced, and we wait for the first light of dawn…
Go! Here we start! We feel the fresh snow gliding under our skis, on the pristine slope, opened specially for us! Priceless!
In about half an hour we are back at the bottom, ready to take the lift again to reach the top and enjoy our well-deserved breakfast. At Chalet Fiat, the managers and their staff are waiting for us. They have set up a sumptuous buffet, rich in local products, tasty cakes, and steaming drinks, of which we will keep a sweet memory.
Refreshed, we set off for a second descent. Fully satisfied with this experience, we reach the ski lift amid the incredulous looks of the first skiers arriving by cable car for the regular morning opening. Trentino Ski Sunrise: an experience not to be missed!”.

For all dates, the meeting point is at 6:00 AM at the lift facilities. Participation requires mandatory booking, for a fee.
