The most beautiful snowshoe hikes in Madonna di Campiglio
The snow-covered woods, the silence, the winter landscapes all around: a snowshoe hike is one of the experiences not to be missed in Madonna di Campiglio.
Every week, guests of Hotel Alpina can participate for free in two outings accompanied by the Mountain Guides of Madonna di Campiglio: the Tuesday and Friday afternoon trips are always popular appointments, both for the beauty of the routes and for the simplicity of the proposals.
What are snowshoes?
Also called racchette da neve, they are a sort of large-sized racket anchored to your boots. Appropriately fixed, they allow you to walk easily on the snow without sinking. You proceed by walking normally: anyone wearing snowshoes for the first time can undertake the hike without difficulty, as there is no need to know any particular techniques.
Adults and children can live an experience in contact with nature through whitewashed woods and exciting scenarios. By day, but also in the evening, sometimes with an arrival or a gourmet break at a mountain hut.

The 3 most beautiful snowshoe hikes near Madonna di Campiglio:
Lago Spinale
A beautiful high-altitude hike, starting from Monte Spinale up to the Rifugio Boch. Part of the ascent and descent involve using the gondola, while the stretch to be covered on snowshoes goes up from Lago Spinale to Camp Centener and then to Pian del Graffer, tackling a simple hike with suggestive views.
Patascoss – Pian degli uccelli
With the gondola you reach Patascoss and then climb with snowshoes to Baita Casinel and Pian degli Uccelli. From here you will enjoy a magnificent view of the Brenta Group. A flat path leads us towards Malga Ritorto through expanses of pristine snow. From here you proceed on a downhill path to return to Madonna di Campiglio again.
Giro dell’Imperatrice
A classic trekking route in Val Rendena to be tackled also with snowshoes. From Monte Spinale you descend, retracing the path so loved by Sissi for its wonderful views of the Dolomites and the Adamello-Presanella. The return is scheduled for late afternoon, in time for a refreshing snack at the hotel or a hot sauna.
The magic of the snow-covered woods, the silence of nature, the majestic Dolomite landscapes are just some of the suggestions that a walk with snowshoes will make you experience.
Therefore, during your next ski holiday, remember to put your skis to rest for half a day and dedicate yourself to snowshoes. We are sure that this experience will remain etched in your most beautiful winter memories.
