The Brenta mountain huts tour from Madonna di Campiglio
An excursion that will take you around the mountain huts surrounding Madonna di Campiglio: you will reach Tuckett, Brentei, Casinei, and Rifugio Vallesinella in just one day. This is a medium-difficulty route through wonderful trails in the presence of the most beautiful peaks of the Brenta Dolomites. Not to be missed!
From Grostè to Tuckett towards Rifugio Brentei
The first section, from Grostè to the Tuckett mountain hut, develops on a non-exposed path with minimal elevation changes, first descending and then ascending near the hut. It winds at the foot of the peaks of the central part of the Brenta Dolomites and offers a wonderful landscape, in particular, towards the Presanella peak.
After a quick refreshment at Rifugio Tuckett, you set off for Rifugio Brentei, first following trail 328 (passing over the Sella del Fridolin) and then climbing towards the hut on trail 318, which passes at the foot of Cima Brenta and weaves into the ledges descending from it towards Val Brenta. A few short, slightly exposed points, but well protected by fixed ropes, allow even less experienced walkers to travel the trail safely.
Lunch at Rifugio Brentei and then marching towards Casinei and Vallesinella
Once you arrive at Brentei, the suggestive little Church just beyond the hut is well worth a visit.
Usually, you reach this point in time for lunch, and the return journey involves descending along the same trail. Once you reach the Sella del Fridolin, you continue towards Rifugio Casinei, in time to enjoy an excellent slice of cake before descending to Vallesinella. The final part of the trail is a bit steep but without any particular difficulties.
Normally, you return by shuttle from Rifugio Vallesinella to Madonna di Campiglio since fatigue, at this point of the day, takes over!
