Hotel Alpina: 70 years of passion for hospitality
70 years have passed since, in December 1955, Romeo and Emma inaugurated the Pensione Alpina in Madonna di Campiglio. It was the culmination of a dream, one that began in 1941 with the granting of a guesthouse license to Faustino Aldrighetti and, even before that, with his experience as a maintenance worker at the Grand Hotel Des Alpes; but it was also the beginning of another dream, one carried forward today by the third generation of the Aldrighetti family.
The birth of Hotel Alpina…
In those years, while Italy and Europe were painstakingly recovering from the tragedies of the Second World War, Madonna di Campiglio and Val Rendena were preparing to become one of the most renowned tourist destinations in the entire alpine arc.
The hospitality of the Aldrighetti family was immediately appreciated and rewarded, so much so that by the late 1950s, the "pensione" (as it was called back then) underwent its first expansion with the construction of a new wing.
Even then, we were guided by the idea of providing our guests with an excellent service, with a very special focus on the human and relational dimension.
From the Sixties to the Eighties
The growth of our business continued throughout the 1960s, with the raising of the building's height, and up until the 1980s. In '88, the first major turning point in our history arrived: Hotel Alpina remained closed for an entire season for major modernization works. The old building was partially demolished, the basement was excavated, and a new reinforced concrete structure was built. The new Alpina featured 27 rooms spread over 3 floors, for a total of 57 beds. We were the first three-star hotel in Madonna di Campiglio to feature a small wellness center, sauna, whirlpool, and facial tanning lamps.
From that moment on, we never stopped! Having laid the foundations to take our hospitality experience to an even higher level of quality, we continued to innovate and renew our services.
In the sign of the environment: the “Qualità Parco” label
In 2019, we were awarded for the sixth consecutive year the “Qualità Parco” certification, issued by the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park and the Madonna di Campiglio – Pinzolo – Val Rendena Tourism Board, which certifies our commitment to sustainable development, respect for the environment, and the valorization of the local territory. Living and working in a splendid area on the borders of the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park, it is essential for us to operate in an eco-sustainable way.
Password: quality and digital innovation
And our guests also seem to appreciate these efforts, as demonstrated by the countless positive reviews we receive daily through digital channels. We boast a bronze medal in TripAdvisor's Eco Leaders program, a score of 9.3 on Booking.com, and 4.7 on TrustYou.
These very digital channels have become an invaluable resource for us to communicate our content and values. The blog, first and foremost, where we share the beauty and the countless attractions of the land we live in, is appreciated and visited by over 65,000 users every year. But also our Facebook page, Instagram profile, and the live chat available on the website, which we use to stay in touch with you and respond promptly to your every request.
